Bottlenose Brewing is the newest brewery in town in the Jacksonville, Florida area. It is located in the old World of Beer in Southside, which is great central location for the after-work beer meetup. The grand opening for Bottlenose is tomorrow, April 26th and they will be open from 11:00 a.m. until midnight. They have over 50 taps showcasing a great variety of Florida breweries including locals like Green Room, Bold City, Engine 15 as well as other greats like Funky Buddha, Green Bench, Swamp Head, Cigar City and many many more!

Don’t worry… Bottlenose will be also brewing their own beer. I spoke with owner, Mark about their plans for brewing and they are hoping they will be ready to be enjoyed by July. They are planning on having about 10 featured taps of their own brews, but still offer a great variety of the local Florida breweries. They are planning on offering classic brews such as an IPA, pale ale, double, stout, golden ale as well as seasonals. Though there really is not room for canning, there will be availability for growler fills as soon as they get into the full swing of the brewing. One cool thing about Bottlenose is that they will be pouring some of their brews directly from the big tanks for extra freshness.

Bottlenose has an indoor and outdoor tasting area and a full kitchen with a great variety of food on their menu. Good news dog lovers, Bottlenose allows canine kids in the patio area. Another neat feature about the tasting room is that brewing area is visible so patrons can watch the brewing magic happen. Once their beers are available for tasting, I will be posting an update. I hope to see you all there!
